“In October 2018, GoAir ventured into international markets with maiden international flight from Phuket to Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. Thus, our first brush with international flying happed with Thailand and it is very evident that we have a special feeling for Thai citizens. The two new flights – Bangkok to Delhi and Mumbai – are manifestation of the growing trend of Thai tourists travelling to explore ‘Incredible India’ and its multi-cultural, scenic and historical facets. Our internal research shows that Thai tourists have a wish list to visit and see different parts of India and there is a section of tourists who want to do the Buddhist circuit in India. These tourists prefer Mumbai flights so that they can visit Ajanta and Ellora caves and some would prefer Delhi flights for further connection to Kashmir, Leh and Laddakh circuit and experience the spiritual side of India,” said Mr. Jeh Wadia, Managing Director, GoAir.

“I take this opportunity to thank the Government of Thailand, The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), Airports of Thailand PLC and all our travel partners,” added Mr. Wadia. GoAir currently operates approximately 285 daily flights and carried around 13.3 lakh passengers in the month of June 2019. In India, GoAir flies to 24 domestic destinations including Ahmedabad, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Kannur, Leh, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Pune, Ranchi and Srinagar.

In the international markets, Goair flies to 6 international destinations, including Phuket, Malé, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Bangkok.
