Mark Winders will be executive director at GoAir
26 January 2007

Bangalore: Mark Winders, former CEO of SpiceJet, is being appointed as executive director of low-cost airline GoAir, and will handle its strategic initiatives. Winders had quit SpiceJet 18 months back and had been on a sabbatical since then.

Winders will be expected to look after broad operational matters, even as GoAir's current chief operating officer Ng Fook Meng will continue to look after the daily operations.

Prior to his stint with SpiceJet, Winders was president of Cayman Airways and NWT Air. According to industry sources, the Wadia family run airline is also expected to induct a new chief financial officer and chief commercial officer in the coming days.
