GoAir appoints its new CCO
 
Mumbai, 26th February, 2007: GoAir, India’s smart fare airline today announced the appointment of Mr. Birender Ahluwalia as GoAir’s new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). As the new CCO, Mr. Ahluwalia would focus his efforts on looking after all aspects of network planning, pricing, revenue management, aircraft scheduling, distribution, pricing in addition to sales and marketing functions.
 
Mr. Jeh Wadia, Managing Director, GoAir said, “I am delighted to announce Vicky’s (Mr. Ahluwalia’s) appointment as GoAir’s new CCO and am confident his appointment will accentuate our commitment to build a strong senior management team to carry forward our vision of making GoAir the most preferred airline in the country. I look forward to working with him closely, as we exploit new market opportunities and capitalise on the strong momentum already evident in the business.”
 
Mr. Ahluwalia started his professional career as a Branch Executive for Aristocrat Marketing Ltd. Bombay. He brings with him sixteen years of leadership experience in Service Management, Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain Management and was Chief Field Services Officer and a member of the Executive Committee with Tata Sky Ltd. before joining GoAir. He has worked with companies like Federal Express Corporation, HDFC Bank Ltd and Blue Dart Express among others. Mr. Ahluwalia has undertaken numerous innovative projects that include development and execution of the long term Business Plan for FedEx in 64 countries in Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent and Africa.
 
GoAir recently completed one year of operations and has flown over 1.5 million passengers since commencement of flights on November 4th 2005. Mumbai 23rd February, 2007: GoAir, India’s leading smart fare carrier today announced its special GoSmart Pre-Budget Summer Time Bonanza, a unique offering that allows customers to plan and book their summer vacation for tickets as low as Rs 0/- across GoAir destinations. The latest GoAir GoSmart Pre-Budget Summer Time Bonanza will be on offer from 23rd February till 28th February ’07 for travel between March to August 2007.
 
Commenting on the latest marketing initiative, Mr. Jeh Wadia, Managing Director GoAir said, “We at GoAir believe in offering our esteemed passengers unique and cost effective offers all year round. Dual benefits on GoAir
No extra charges to be paid on CTO/ATO bookings
Introduces Zero Fare scheme - GoFly @ Rs. 0/-
 
Mumbai 16th February, 2007: GoAir, India’s leading smart fare carrier, today announced that it has eliminated the extra charges payable on all CTO (Call Centre Ticketing Office) and ATO (Airport Ticketing Office) bookings. Effective from February 14, 2007, GoAir passengers can now save additional Rs. 75/- on all bookings made via CTO/ATO. This benefit can also be availed for cancellations and rebooking transactions.
 
In addition to this, GoAir also announced its latest initiative, GoFly @ Rs 0/-, that allows GoAir’s valued passengers the chance of flying freely to all 13 Indian GoAir destinations on bookings made till 22nd February ’07 for travel between 1st March to 25th March.
 
Passengers can book the tickets either through the GoAir website, call the GoAir Customer Care, travel agents or airport ticketing counters.
 
Mr. Jeh Wadia, Managing Director GoAir said, “Cost is definitely a major consideration while booking an airline ticket. We, at GoAir, would like to offer our price conscious passengers the choice of getting tickets at rock bottom prices, even the chance to get free tickets across 13 Indian destinations. GoAir appoints its new CFO
Strengthen its Senior Management Team with the appointment of Mr. G.P. Gupta
 
Mumbai 05th February, 2007: GoAir, India’s smart fare airline announced that it has appointed Mr. GP Gupta as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The appointment is the result of the company’s ongoing business and succession plans.
 
Mr. Jeh Wadia, Managing Director GoAir said, “I am delighted to announce GP Gupta’s appointment as CFO and am confident that his addition to our senior management team will ensure rapid growth of our company. I look forward to working with him closely, as we exploit new market opportunities, and capitalise on the strong momentum already evident in the business.”
 
As the new CFO, Mr. GP Gupta would focus his efforts on looking after various financial aspects like Accounting, Banking, Internal Control, Leasing, Treasury, Taxation and Procurement.
 
He brings with him rich experience in the aviation industry. He has been ‘Vice President – Finance’ with Spicejet Limited and played a key role in developing their business plan, setting up of the Internet Based Reservation System and looking after their Accounts, Treasury and Taxation functions. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with excellent performance in various Finance Functions with strong acumen in setting up new projects.
