 Ground Operations -  Duty Manager

 
Job Title:  Duty Manager for Mumbai

Role:

  • Roll Call for staff: Report for duty on time as per standards as a role model to subordinates. Carry out the Roll Call for all the staff on duty and give report to APM.
  • Staff Inspection: Inspection of staff grooming and uniform as per GO Air standards.
  • Log Book Check: Go through the mails/logbook for any action or messages regarding the flight and action them accordingly.
  • Roster for staff: Prepare staff duty allocation for the day and staff roster for the month.
  • Briefing/Debriefing : To carry out regular briefing/debeifing with the staff about the flight issues or any other issues.
  • Supervision on flight: Ensure the OTP is maintained at all times.Monitor all operational areas to ensure smooth operations..
  • Ensure Check in counters are stocked with adequate stationery and open on time. Monitor check in counters and ensure minimum queuing time for passengers.
  • Adhere to counter closure deadline. In special situations take decisions regarding acceptance of late reporting passengers in concurrence with APM.
  • Initiate Boarding process and expeditious clearance of Coaches from the boarding area.
  • Initiate Gate No show Drill for missing passengers atleast 20mins before the scheduled departure. Appraise Load Sheet Staff with last minutes changes accordingly for amendments.
  • Ensure Load Sheet is submitted within the stipulated time.
  • Liaise and coordinate with different departments for smooth turnaround of flight with minimum ground time.
  • Inform down line stations regarding flight information and update the same in system as well.
  • Efficiently handle delay flight situations and take appropriate decisions regarding service recovery.
  • Excess baggage: To monitor Excess Baggage Revenue closely. Encourage staff to charge excess baggage vigorously and maintain records of the revenue generated flight wise.
  • Flight Reports: Assign one CSE to update flight reports and forward the same to concerned department after verifying the same.
  • To Maintain cash summary with regards to ticket sale, excess baggage cash and payments made.
  • Training Records: Conduct trainings/Retraining and  audits for the CSE’s.Conduct the appraisals for the CSE’s periodically.
  • Conduct the appraisals for the CSE’s periodically.
  • Administrative Functions: To liaise with other agencies at airport and Head office for administrative functions. Peruse the Read and Sign file for update on current procedures
  • Ticketing Counters: To monitor/supervise airport ticketing counters and resolve issues as and when they arise.
  • Liaision: To maintain cordial relations  with other external agencies at the airport for smooth liaison.
